The falls are stunning year-round, but the best time to visit depends on the experience you seek:

High Water Season (March to May): After the rainy season, the falls are at their fullest, offering a powerful and dramatic spectacle with mist that can be seen from miles away. However, the intensity of the water may obscure some of the views.
Low Water Season (September to December): The water flow decreases, offering better visibility of the falls and allowing for activities like swimming in the Devil’s Pool (on the Zambian side), where you can swim at the very edge of the falls.
Shoulder Seasons (June to August): Moderate water levels offer a balance between spectacular views and access to activities.

Victoria Falls (Mosi-oa-Tunya): The primary attraction, the falls are 1,708 meters wide and drop over 100 meters. You can visit the falls from both the Zimbabwean and Zambian sides, with different perspectives and viewpoints.

Zimbabwe side: Offers a better panoramic view and a closer look at the main waterfall. Don’t miss the Knife-Edge Bridge for an incredible view.
Zambia side: Known for being less crowded and offers activities like the Devil's Pool swim.
Devil’s Pool: A thrilling experience, this natural rock pool allows you to swim right up to the edge of the waterfall (best in the low-water months). It’s on the Zambian side.

Bungee Jumping and Bridge Swing: From the Victoria Falls Bridge, you can experience an adrenaline rush with bungee jumping (111 meters), bridge swinging, or even walking across the bridge over the Zambezi River.

Helicopter or Microlight Flight: For a bird’s-eye view, you can take a helicopter ride over the falls (known as the "Flight of Angels") or a microlight flight, offering stunning aerial views of the waterfalls, the river, and the surrounding areas.

Zambezi River Activities:

White-water rafting: For thrill-seekers, the Zambezi River offers some of the best white-water rafting in the world.
River cruises: Enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Zambezi River, often with opportunities to see wildlife like elephants, hippos, and crocodiles.
Fishing: For those who enjoy angling, fishing in the Zambezi River is an option.
Wildlife Viewing: The area around Victoria Falls is also home to national parks like the Zambezi National Park (Zimbabwe) and Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park (Zambia), where you can spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of bird species.

Cultural Experiences: Visit the local villages, markets, and craft shops in both Livingstone (Zambia) and Victoria Falls Town (Zimbabwe) for a cultural insight and to purchase local crafts.

Zambia and Zimbabwe both require visas for entry, but the process is relatively straightforward.
Visa on Arrival is available for citizens of many countries.
KAZA Visa: This visa allows multiple entries into both countries and is ideal for those wishing to explore both sides of the falls. It’s valid for 30 days.

Victoria Falls offers a wide range of accommodations to suit different budgets:

Luxury Hotels & Resorts: Options include The Royal Livingstone Hotel, Victoria Falls Hotel, and Avani Victoria Falls Resort (Zimbabwe) or The Zambezi Sun (Zambia).
Mid-range: There are several comfortable hotels and lodges with great access to the falls, such as Ilala Lodge Hotel or David Livingstone Safari Lodge (Zambia).
Budget: Budget-friendly options include guesthouses, hostels, or camping for adventurous travelers.

Health and Vaccinations: It’s recommended to get vaccines for yellow fever, hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and tetanus. Malaria is also a risk, so carry malaria prevention medication and use insect repellent.
Weather: The region is generally warm year-round, with summer temperatures soaring above 30°C (86°F). The rainy season (November to March) can make some activities less accessible.
Currency: Both the Zimbabwean Dollar (ZWL) and US Dollar (USD) are accepted in Zimbabwe. In Zambia, the Zambian Kwacha is the primary currency, but USD is widely accepted.

By Air: The closest airport is Victoria Falls Airport (Zimbabwe), which is well-connected with major African cities. Alternatively, you can fly into Livingstone Airport (Zambia).
By Road: It’s possible to reach Victoria Falls by road from nearby cities like Livingstone (Zambia) or Bulawayo (Zimbabwe).
By Train: A limited train service connects Zimbabwe and Zambia, though it’s less popular than air travel.
